How to Earn the Annual Filing Season Program-Record of Completion from the IRS.annual filing season program

Non-Exempt Tax Preparer, need to complete the following by December 31, 2018:

  • Renew their PTIN for the 2019 filing season
  • Consent to adhere to the obligations in Circular 230, Subpart B and section 10.51.
  • Earn 18 Hours of IRS-approved continuing education which includes:

  • Consent to adhere to the obligations in Circular 230, Subpart B and section 10.51.
  • Earn 15 Hours of IRS-approved continuing education which includes:
    •  3 hours of federal tax law updates
    •  10 hours of federal tax law topics and
    •  2 hours of tax preparer related ethics

Are you Exempt?
If you passed the Registered Tax Return Preparer test or certain other recognized national and states, you are an Exempt Tax Preparer.
