  Keyboard shortcuts are great timesavers. If you are like me, you learned them in an intro Excel class and promptly forgot them.

Control key - The ctrl key allows you to select non-contiguous cells. So for example, if you want to format the  top and bottom rows of data in your spreadsheet -

  1. Select the first row of data
  2. Hold down the control key and select the bottom row of data
  3. Apply your formatting
    ...and voila.... both rows are formatted at the same time.
